Stuart Edelstein
Stuart is a world-renowned biophysicist. A foreign associate of the French Academy of Science, his academic curriculum includes professorships at Cornell University, the University of Geneva, the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris) and the Collège de France. He also spent several years at the European Bioinformatics Institute on the Wellcome Genome Campus in Hinxton (Cambridge) UK.
Stuart co-founded two biotech companies in genomics. The first, Genomic Vision (which was publicly listed), developed methods for microscopic visualization of specific base sequences on single molecules of DNA. The second, Scipio bioscience, developed a kit to determine the total gene expression profiles of thousands of individual cells byidentifying their messenger RNA molecules in a reversible-hydrogel process known as RevGel-seq.
Currently, Stuart is consulting on biomarker development for clinical diagnosis and drug development, focusing on the emerging role of AI agents in biomedicine.
